A Rare honour for Our Pride and Joy

What have the Valley of Kings in Luxor, Egypt, the Omo Hada Royal Palace Complex in Indonesia, Pompeii in Italy and Gorton Monastery got in Common?

In the 2000 Millennium List they have all been named by the World Monument Fund among the hundred most endangered sites in the world!

This affirmation of the importance of our Monastery is welcome news indeed, Particularly because we were nominated last year as well.

Since sites can only be listed twice, we are in a rare group indeed.

It shows international recognition of our achievements so far
