Sutton Corner. Sutton Family Fun Day, Sunday 18th June 2000. Around 500 people came along to the Sutton Family Fun Day and helped raise over £550 for the Rainbow Trust and its local childrens' centre, St. Francis House. The day, held at Old Hall Drive, proved a great success, with many stalls sold up by early afternoon. In glorious sunshine, the Fire Service provided the highlight of the day by turning the hoses of 3 engines onto a very willing and enthusiastic crowd of youngsters. Sutton Residents' Association which organised the Fun Day would like to thank all those who took part, local businesses which made donations, Old Hall Drive School, The Fire Service and St John's Ambulance and Gorton Forum without whom there would have been no power for the bouncy castle!
